Legislative Branch

20th Amendment sets date and start time of new terms as "noon of the 3rd day of January"
435 seats on ... the House of Representatives, determined by Congress, and do not have a limit to serve.
Congressional elections are held on the Tuesday following the first Monday in November of each even number year
House of Representatives must be at least 25 years, citizen of the U.S for at least 7 years, and live in the state where they're elected
100 seats on... the Senate. The Constitution says each state must be composed of 2 senators from each state
17th Amendment called for popular election of Senators
Senators serve 6 year terms, and is a continuous body.
U.S Senators must be at least 30 years of age, citizen for at least 9 years of U.S, must be inhabitant of state they're elected.
President of the Senate is the Vice President
Speaker of the House presides and keeps order of the House and signs all bills & resolutions passed by the House
