Stallion Intact male horse older than 3 years.
Colt Intact male horse younger than 3 years.
Gelding Castrated male horse of any age.
Ridgeling Cryptorchid equine (uni-or-bilateral).
Mare Intact female horse older than 3 years.
Filly Intact female horse younger than 3 years.
Brood Mare Breeding female horse.
Maiden Mare Intact female horse that has never been bred.
Barren (Open) Mare Intact female horse that has not been bred or didn't conceive.
Wet Mare Intact female horse that has foaled in the current breeding season.
Agalactic Mare Intact female horse that is not producing milk.
Foal Young equine of any sex from birth to weaning.
Yearling Young equine, 1-2 years old.
Weanling Young equine, weaning to 1 years old.
Pony Equine between 8.2 to 14.2 hands (mature, not a young horse).
Foaling Giving birth to an equine.
