what was the ccp? When did it start? Who started it? where did it start? ccp was the Chinese Communist party, started in 1921 by young radical students and staff in bejing university in Shanghai.
Who started the Nationalist party? Who was another major leader in the Nationalist party? Sun Yat-Sen was leader tell he died and it became Chiang Kai-sheck.
what was the pla? Who lead it? what did they do? pla was the peoples liberation army lead by Mao Zedong even though he wasnt the official leader of the communist yet. The pla was responsible for the famous long march. They treated peasants with respect.
Why was an alliance formed between the Nationalist and the Communist? An Alliance was formed to oppose the warlords and drive the imperialist powers out of china.
What happened in Shanghai that was so important? The ccp was created and shanghai was a rich recruiting class for communist.
What happened in Nanjing that was so important? That is where the Chiang Kai-sheck founded new Chinese republic and started the new life movement.
What happened in Jiangxi Province that was so important? Province where communist party was located when Chiang and the nationalist surronded and built a barrier around them. (1931)
Who was Mao Zedong? A person who became the sole leader of the ccp after the long march.
What was the New Life Movement about? Who started the movement? The New Life Movement was about changing the Chinese culture and unifying them while preparing them to confront the larger social and economic issues. It started in 1934 by Chiang Kai Shek and his wife Mei-ling.
What was the goal for the new life movement? The goal for the movement was to promote social ethics and renew values like social discipline, integrity, and righteousness.

Why did the couple believe a return of ancient Confucian values would help reunify china? They believed because it showed strong moral values and a good look on china.
