rit. | ritardando, gradually slow down |
accel. | accelerando, gradually get faster |
tremolo | generally refers to rapid reiteration or change of notes, /, //, /// |
grace note | A musical note, especially an appoggiatura, added as an embellishment, printed in small type, and not counted in rhythm, looks like a small eighth note with a / |
appoggiatura | puts emphasis or stress on a specific note or set of notes, looks like a small eighth note |
