What does expressed powers mean? powers specifically listed
What does concurrent powers mean? powers shared between national and state gov'ts
What does denied powers mean? things/actions the national gov't cannot do
What does implied powers mean? any power not listed is then implied as a power of the states.
How do lobbyists influence public opinion? work to persuade lawmakers in Congress or state gov't to vote for or against a bill
How do special interest groups influence public opinion? inform the public about issues
State and federal governments collecting taxes is what type of power? concurrent powers
Maintaining armed forces, regulating trade trade, coining money and declaring war are all examples of what type of power? expressed powers
Establishing national banks in order to collect taxes is an example of what type of power? implied powers
