How do you make a sentence negative in French? Put ne...pas around the conjugated verb.
Make this sentence negative: J'aime parler avec des amis. Je n'aime pas parler avec des amis.
Make this sentence negative: Tu parles aux professeurs. Tu ne parles pas aux professeurs.
Make this sentence negative: Je suis français. Je ne suis pas français.
Make this sentence negative: Nous détestons les devoirs. Nous ne détestons pas les devoirs.
Make this sentence negative: Ils adorent les enfants. Ils n'adorent pas les enfants.
How do you make a question using intonation? Raise the voice at the end of a sentence or, when writing, replace the period with a question mark.
How do you make a question using "est-ce que?" Put "est-ce que" at the beginning of the sentence.
How do you make a question using a tag word like "n'est-ce pas" or "d'accord?" Place the tag word at the end of the sentence.
How do you make a question using inversion? Flip the order of the subject and verb in the sentence.
Make the following a question using intonation: Nous parlons anglais. Nous parlons anglais?
Make the following a question using intonation: Vous aimez l'école. Vous aimez l'école?
Make the following a question using intonation: Tu détestes les devoirs. Tu détestes les devoirs?
