Geosphere all of the rock at and below earths surface (crust, mantle, and core)
glacier any large mass of ice that moves slowly over land
groundwater water that fills the cracks and spaces in underground soil and rock layers
hydrosphere all the water at and near the surface of the earth, 97% of which is in oceans
landform a naturally formed feature on the surface of earth, such as a coastline, dune, or mountain
pathway how water moves on land due to gravity
preciptation any form of water that falls from clouds and reaches earths surface as rain, snow, sleet, or hail
runoff water that flows over the ground surface rather than soaking into the ground
transpiration evaporation of water from the leaves of a plant
water cycle the continual movement of water among earths atmosphere, oceans, and land surface through evaporation, condesation, and percipitation
