how old are you? 31 years old
do you have any higher education? yes first got a bachelors degree and then a masters in organizational psychology .
how does this help you in getting work? well I was able to get a job right out of school and i’m really appreciative
where were you most recently employed gordon paint and supplies
how did you like working at Gordan paint and supplies i really enjoyed it gordan helped out regularly and before the pandemic hit business was great!
how long have you been working there? from right around when it opened in 2016 so around 7 years
can you describe your relationship with Gordon? i really respect him . we have a great professional relationship we’ve never had any issues and i think he’s a good boss
why do you say he is a good boss? he would always be willing to pitch in with any tasks we were doing
did you work with anyone? yes we had over 20 employees at one point
once the pandemic hit what were some of the biggest challenges gordan paint and supplies had to overcome? gordan had to make some tough decisions and lay off employees but i was greatful to keep my job and it was really hard finding paint and other supplies to stock the shelves
when i you were one of four employees what changed at work? with less employees we all to do a lot more to make sure the bussiness could run through this rough
when you were working what were you mostly concerned with the pandemic effects were definitely a concern on top of a problem employee pat wheeler
how did pats preformance change since the pandemic hit? before the pandemic he was a good employee but once we were down to 4 employees he got a bad attitude and started coming in late.
what did you learn the most being at gordan paint and supplies ? a great deal about management styles and running a business
while covid reduced the amount of customers what did gordan paint and supplies struggle with the most not being able to get inventory to stock shelevs and pat began coming into work late
was this behavior ever acknowledged? yes he was fired eventually in march 2023
where were you when you were fired? in gordon’s office discussing important financial matters with his advisor ryan casey
was filing for bankruptcy ever an option for gordan paint and supplies yes but lindsey wanted to do everything to keep his business running he was determined to get throught the pandemic bump
what happened when pat was fired ? he was extremely angry and he made a threatening remark to lindsey before getting escorted out
when did you see pat next? at the nobil gas station at 10pm july 28
what did you see pat dojng? he was filling up a 2 gallon gas container
how did you know it was pat ? i saw him a lot throught the time we worked together and i knew his eyes we made eye contact
where did you go after the gas station? i went home and went to my apartments rooftop and dozed off
how did you find out gordan paint and supplies was on fire? i woke up to the smell of smoke and looked out in the distance to see if i could tell where it was coming from?
where could you tell the fire was from? it seemed to be in the direction of gordans store so i immediately got in my car
when you arrived to gordans store what happened ? the fire department was already there so i immediately texted gordan
who did you see filling a 2 gallon gas container just hours before this? pat wheeler
could you describe what the business looked like in that moment it was really sad to see the entire thing was up in flames
