climate | the average weather of a place over a period of 20 years |
vegetation | plant life that grows in an area |
culture | the customs, ideas, beliefs, and skills of a people |
physical geography | the study of land and its features |
human geography | learning about people and their ways |
globe | the most accurate "picture "of the earth, its a sphere with a map of Earth printed on tit |
relief | a change in elevation |
physical map | a map that highlights many of the natural features of a place , such as mountains, plains, rivers, and lakes by using color and shading |
political map | a map that shows features of a place such as countries, states, and cities |
