Algebra 3.2 Linear Functions

linear equation in two variables an equation that can be written in the form y = mx + b, where m and b are constants
linear function a function whose graph is a nonvertical line
nonlinear function a function that does not have a constant rate of change
solution of a linear equation in two variables an ordered pair (x, y) that makes an equation true
discrete domain a set of input values that consists of only certain numbers in an interval
continuous domain a set of input values that consists of all numbers in an interval
