Line Extends forever in both directions. Has length. Does not have width or height.
Line Segment A piece of a line bound by two distinct endpoints.
Ray A line with a single endpoint that extends forever in the other direction.
Angle A figure formed by two rays that share a common endpoint.
Vertex The common endpoint shared by a common endpoint.
Right Angle An angle that measures exactly 90 degrees. Created when two perpendicular lines intersect.
Parallel Lines Two lines that go on forever and will never intersect.
Perpendicular lines Two lines that intersect to form a right angle.
Congruent Two figures are congruent if all their sides and angles have exactly the same measure.
Similar Two figures are similar in geometry if they have the same angle measures and their sides are proportional.
Bisect to cut into two equal pieces.
Circle A geometric figure where every line segment drawn from the center to the edge is congruent.
Radius The distance from the center of the circle to the edge.
Diameter The distance all the way across a circle, through the center.

Use these flashcards to help memorize information. Look at the large card and try to recall what is on the other side. Then click the card to flip it. If you knew the answer, click the green Know box. Otherwise, click the red Don't know box.

When you've placed seven or more cards in the Don't know box, click "retry" to try those cards again.

If you've accidentally put the card in the wrong box, just click on the card to take it out of the box.

You can also use your keyboard to move the cards as follows:

If you are logged in to your account, this website will remember which cards you know and don't know so that they are in the same box the next time you log in.
