what is a multiplicative inverse? it's the reciprocal of a number. a number times it's multiple inverse equals 1.
How do you multiply rational numbers? Make mixed numbers into improper fractions and then multiply across. Make sure to make mixed number into improper fractions
how do you add rational numbers? Make sure numbers have a common denominator, then add the numerators.
how do you subtract rational numbers? Make sure numbers have a common denominator, then subtract numerators.
How to divide rational numbers? Keep change Flip. Keep the dividend. Change from division to multiplication and flip the divisor. Then multiply across. Make sure to make mixed number into improper fractions
James has a sandwich that is 3/5 foot long. He wants to cut the sandwich into pieces that are each 1/10 foot long. How many pieces can James cut? 6 peices
Find the product in simplest form. -10 3/4 * (-8 1/2) 731/8= 91 3/8
Evaluate ab^2 - c when a= 4, b= -3 and c = -6 42
what is the base? the number that is being repeatedly multiplied by itself
what is an exponent? the number of times a number is being repeatedly multiplied by itself
negative exponents repeated division, take the reciprocal of the base and the opposite of the exponent
