What is direct characterization Telling - The author describes the character through narration.

What's monologue A long speech by a single character to reveal his thoughts to the audience.
Dialogue Conversation between several characters.
Aside words spoken by the character directly to the audience
Prologue The opening part of a drama that introduces the play
Epilogue Provides insight about the life of characters after the story ends
What are stage directions Written directions to help the actor know how to feel or what to do when certain lines are spoken
