CS Midterm stack

A Study Stack for the midterm.

What does the motherboard do? Where all computer components connect
Does ROM get deleted? No
Does the Heat Sink bring cool air in, or does it absorb and take heat away? It absorbs heat and disperses it
What is the name of the unit designed to measure clock-rate of CPU's? Hertz
What causes RAM to be deleted? The computer being turned off
What does the HDMI cord do? It displays visuals on monitors
What is an Ergonomic Keyboard for? To fit the user
What cord does a mouse (usually) port into? The USB (Universal Serial Bus) port
What is the unit designed to describe exactly 1 million hertz ? MHZ or Megahertz
What are both RAM and ROM commonly referred to as? Primary storage
What type of device is a keyboard? An input device
