Canva

TermDefinition
Alignment The arrangement of text or objects in relation to each other (e.g., left, center, right, or justified).
Animation Moving effects or transitions you can apply to elements in your design, like text or images.
Background The layer that covers the entire design space, typically the color or image behind the main content of the design.
Brand Kit A feature in Canva that helps you keep your colors, fonts, and logos consistent with your brand.
Canvas The blank space where you create your design. It’s the area where you place elements like text, images, and shapes.
Collaboration Working on a design with others in real-time by sharing a design link.
Crop To cut out a portion of an image or element.
Design The overall layout or creation that you make using Canva, such as a graphic, presentation, or poster.
Download Saving your design to your computer in various formats (e.g., PNG, JPEG, PDF).
Element Any object you add to your design, including text, photos,
Filter A preset effect that changes the look of an image, such as adjusting colors or brightness.
Font The style of the text. Different fonts give your design a different look and feel (e.g., bold, cursive, etc.).
Graphic Visual elements like illustrations, icons, or logos that can be added to your design.
Icon A small graphic or symbol used to represent an idea, action, or concept in your design.
Layer Refers to the positioning of elements in the design, such as foreground (top) or background (bottom). Elements can be moved forward or backward.
Presentation Mode Presentation Mode - A way to display your design in full-screen mode, typically used for presentations.
Resize Resize - To change the size of an element (text, image, etc.) within the design.
Shapes Simple geometric elements (circles, squares, triangles) that can be used for decoration or design structure.
Share Sending your design to others via email, a link, or directly posting on social media.
Stock Photo High-quality images that are available in Canva for use in designs. Some are free, and others may require payment or a subscription.
