Political Geography

QuestionAnswer
Zone An area or district in a city or town under special restrictions as to the type, size, purpose, etc., of existing or proposed buildings
Annex To incorporate a territory into the domain of a city, country, or state
Reapportionment The redistribution of representation in a legislative body
Gerrymandering The dividing of a state, county, etc., into election districts so as to give one political party a majority in many districts while concentrating the voting strength of the other party into as few districts as possible
