QuestionAnswer
What is Absolute location? Exact location of a place on the earth described by global coordinates (latitude and longitude).
What is an Archipalageo? A group of islands close together in an ocean or sea.
What is basin? Area of land drained by a given river and its branches; area of land surrounded by lands of higher elevation.
What is a channel? Wide strait or waterway between two landmasses that lie close to each other; deep part of a river or other waterway.
What is delta? Flat, low-lying land built up from soil carried downstream by a river and deposited at its mouth.
What is a fjord? A long narrow coastal inlet with steep sides, often formed by glacial action, especially along the western coast of Norway.
What is an Ithmus? Narrow stretch of land connecting two larger landmasses.
