Assistive Technology Adaptive or rehabilitative devices for people with disabilities
Email Electronic exchange of information from an author to one or more recipients
Simulation The imitation of some real thing, state of affairs, or process.
Bulletin Board A surface intended for the posting of public messages, for example, to advertise things to buy or sell, announce events, or provide information.
Hypermedia Used as a logical extension of the term hypertext in which graphics, audio, video, plain text and hyperlinks intertwine to create a generally non-linear medium of information.
Software The collection of computer programs and related data that provide the instructions telling a computer what to do and how to do it.
Chat room Primarily used by mass media to describe any form of synchronous conferencing, occasionally even asynchronous conferencing.
Video Port it is a socket on the back of a computer used to connect a monitor. On a PC, the standard video port is a 15-pin VGA connector for an analog monitor. DVI connectors are also used for direct digital output to flat panel displays.
Port An application-specific or process-specific software construct serving as a communications endpoint.
Instructional Technology The theory and practice of design, development, utilization, management, and evaluation of processes and resources for learning.
Problem-based learning A student-centered instructional strategy in which students collaboratively solve problems and reflect on their experiences.
Pixel A single point in a raster image. The pixel is the smallest addressable screen element; it is the smallest unit of picture that can be controlled.
