How can you tell if a server has greeted a table? | Coasters are spread out in front of each costumer. |
List all the methods of payment that we accept. | Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Gift Cards, Cash, Tuckaways |
What denominations are our gift cards available in? | $10, $25, $50, $100 |
How would you handle a costumer who has never been to Outback Steakhouse? | Let the server and Manager know, review the menu with them if they are waiting. |
How would you handle a party that doesn't like where they have been seated? | Move them to wherever they would like to sit. |
How would you handle a costumer that makes a negative comment when leaving? | Get a manager. |
How would you handle a table that hasn't been waited on? | Get their drink order, tell the manager, get the drinks to the table immediately. |
How would you handle a table that hasn't been bussed yet? | Page customers for open table, initiate conversation while waiting for table to be bussed. (i.e. Have you ever been here before? etc.) |
How would you handle a party with children? | Get them crayons, coloring books, and toys; ask about highchairs, booster seat, etc. If child is restless offer Aussie bread or anything to keep them entertained. |
How would you handle customers at the door, but we aren't open yet? | Offer to let them wait in the lobby, offer them drinks and menus while they are waiting. |
How would you handle a costumer that doesn't want to wait? | Let them know their other options (seating at the bar, self-seating at the lounge table). Let them know if there is a cocktail server available to get Aussie-tizers and beverages. Guarantee them it is worth the wait. |
