Elavil, amitriptyline:antidepressant Thought to increase the activity of certain chemicals in your brain such as: norepinephrine, serotonin, which helps improve the mood. Although, it is still not fully understood.
Valium, diazepam:benzodiazepine Treats anxiety disorders or for the short term relief of symptoms of anxiety. Treats certain types of muscle spasms, symptoms of alcohol &nicotine w/d. Treats certain types of seizure disorders.
Cymbalta, duloxetine:antidepressant (SSNRI)It affects chemicals in the brain that may become unbalanced & cause depression. Treats major depressive diorders, gen anxiety disorder, chronic pain disorder called fibromyalgia,pain caused by nerve damage w/type II diabetes(diabetic neuropathy).
Anaprox & Naprosyn, naproxen:NSAID Treating rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, & juvinile arthritis. Also treats tendonitis, bursitis, gout, menstrual cramps, or mild to mod pain.
Klor-Con, potassium chloride:mineral It is used to prevent or treat low blood levels of potassium (hypokalemia). Levels could be low from taking certain meds, a disease, or after prolonged illness with diarrhea or vomiting.
Pravachol, pravastatin:antihyperlipidemic lowers high cholersterol & triglycerides increases HDL cholesterol levels. also be used in cert pat to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, death due to coronary heart disease. slows blood vessel blockage reducing the need for medical proceedures.
Tylenol #3, acetaminophen w/codine:Opid/Analgesic/C-III
