Postural Drainage for Chest Physio

Both Upper Lobes - Apical Segments | Seated - head of bed propped to 60 degrees |
Left upper lobe - Anterior Segment | Seated - head of bed propped to 30-40 degrees |
Right upper Lobe - Anterior Segment | Supine, pillow under head and knees |
Left upper lobe - Posterior Segment | Prone, head of bed propped up 30-45 degrees. Pillow under head and underneath/between legs |
Right upper lobe - Posterior Segment | Prone, 1/4 turn onto Left side, pillows support chest and legs |
Left upper lobe - Lingula | Trendelenberg (bed tiled 30 deg. down) - supine, 1/4 turn towards Right, pillows under head and knees |
Right middle lobe | Trendelenberg (bed tiled 30 deg. down) supine, 1/4 turn towards Left, pillow between knees and under head. |
Both lower lobes - Superior segments | Prone, pillow under feet and stomach |
Both lower lobes - Anterior segments | Trendelenberg (bed tiled 30 deg. down) supine, pillow under head and knees |
