Guy Fawkes Catholic rebel who attempted to blow up parliament. Captured and tortured into a confession at the Tower before his execution.
Germans at the Tower During the World Wars, the Tower was converted back into a prison and during World War I, 11 German intelligence agents were executed by firing squad at the Tower.
The Last Prisoner During World War II, the Tower would find itself only used once and that was to imprision German Reichsmarshal Rudolf Hess.
