QuestionAnswer
what is climate?? The earth has a variety of climates which are defined as average temperature, precipitation, humidity, air pressure, and wind over time in a particular place.
What is the composition of the atmosphere? The atmosphere is a mixture of gases, such as nitrogen (78%), oxygen (21%), argon (0.93%), carbon dioxide (0.04%), trace gases and water vapor.
Do these mixtures change as you go up in the atmosphere?? they stay constant from the surface of the planet up to the top of the troposphere.
What processes renew and use these gases on Earth? respiration, photosynthesis, evaporation, condensation, the weathering of rock, and the decay of organic matter.
How do the properties of earth’s atmosphere change? properties such as altitude and the mixture of gases change with ELEVATION.
What effects does air quality have on our planet? it affects the quality of life for all organisms on Earth.
