Griseofulvin uses? Ringworm of the scalp or body, athletes foot, onychomycosis
Griseofulvin MOA? Fungistatic. Targets new skin where it binds to keratin to prevent new growth. NOT treat existing infection, which takes so long. ALSO binds to microtubules in mitotic spindle inhibiting mitosis. Preg Cat D/X!!
Which antifungal requires gastic acidity? Ketoconazole (Nizoral) & Itraconazole (Sporanox)
