The quadratic equation is: (-b+-sqrt(b^2-4ac))/(2a)
Factoring FOIL
Completing the Square Put only the x^2 term and the x term on the left. Divide the coefficient of the x by 2; then square it. Add that number to both the left and the right hand side.
