This stack is to know about the political parties in Congress

Factions A conflicting group
Caucus A group of like-minded people who meet to select the candidate they will support in an upcoming election
Federalist One who supports the ratification of the constitution
Conservative Seeks to keep in place the economic, political and social structures of society
Incumbent the current officeholder
Exit poll a poll of voters taken immediately after they exit the polling stations
Nomination the process of candidate selection in an electoral system
Political Party a group of people who seek to control government through the winning of elections and holding of public office
Political spectrum A way of modeling different political positions by placing them upon one or more geometric axes symbolizing independent political dimensions
Primary A preliminary election where delegates or nominees are chosen
Minor Party One of the political parties not widely supported
Transfer Use symbols to accomplish purposes that are not intended
Card stacking Present only one side of an issue through distortion of facts
Name calling do not disguise the facts; just give the opposition of a bad name
Testimonial Endorsement by a celebrity
Plain folks pretend to be one of the common people (by words or images)
Glittering Generalities Broad and vague statements
Band Wagon Follow the crowd, be with the majority
Electoral College a group of people chosen in each state state and the District of Columbia every 4 years who make a formal selection of the President and Vice President
Socialism a philosophy based on the idea that the benefits of each activity should be fairly distributed
