Amendments 1-27 of the US Constitution

Amendment 1 People have freedom of speech, religion, petition, press, and assemble.
Amendment 2 People have the right to bear arms.
Amendment 3 People will not be forced to provide room and board for soldiers.
Amendment 4 People are protected against unreasonable search and seizure.
Amendment 5 People are cannot be held for a crime they did not commit, they cannot be tried for the same crime twice (double jeapordy), don't need to speak against themself in trial, and cannot have property taken without just compensation. (Eminent Domain)
Amendment 6 People have the right to a speedy trial in front of an impartial jury, can face their accuser, and can call witnesses on their behalf.
Amendment 7 People have a right to a jury for federal civil court cases.
Amendment 8 People are protected against cruel and unusual punishment as well as excessive fines.
Amendment 9 Just because a right is not listed in the Constitution does not mean people do not have those rights.
Amendment 10 Any powers not given to the federal government is reserved for state and local governments.
Amendment 11 The federal government has no authority in suits by citizens against the state.
Amendment 12 President and Vice President are chosen by the electoral college, and the Vice President must be eligible to become President.
Amendment 13 Slavery is illegal.
Amendment 14 The amendments apply not only on the federal level, but also to the state and local levels. All citizens must receive equal treatment. This amendment also abolished the 3/5ths compromise.
Amendment 15 People of all races can vote.
Amendment 16 The federal government can collect an income tax.
Amendment 17 The election of senators is up to citizens of the state.
Amendment 18 The sale of alcohol is prohibited. (This amendment was later repealed with the passing of the 21st amendment).
Amendment 19 Women can vote.
Amendment 20 New start dates for the President and Congress.
Amendment 21 Prohibition of alcohol is repealed, and alcohol is legal once again.
Amendment 22 The president can only serve for two terms.
Amendment 23 The District of Columbia is allowed electors in the electoral college.
Amendment 24 No one can be taxed to vote.
Amendment 25 The line of succession to the presidency after the death of the president is clarified. This amendment also discusses what would happen should the president become temporarily incapable of doing his job.
Amendment 26 Anyone over 18 may vote.
Amendment 27 Any change in pay for legislators do not take effect until after an election.
