What is the POV of the poem? Include at least 2 Quotes from the poem that illustrate the POV? The POV is third person omniscient. I think this because the author does not know the characters thoughts and feelings. "And bill who had got up to cool himself..." "" amused, bill smoked his smoke, and listened."
What is the perspective? add 2 quoted illustrating the perspective? McKinley. "he missed the house and went on down and crossed the draw and pounded..."- 10 " stayed away late, and it was dark when he started down the hill..."- line 4

Read the new poem. what is the theme of this poem? Add 2 quoted illustrating this theme. To protect those you're close to.
How is the theme different then the original? The theme changes because you get to know Bills thoughts instead of McKinley and Bill's. Now it seems as though Bill is trying to protect McKinley.
