MMR Vaccine | Stimulate active immunity. For adults and children >15 months old. Produce a modified infection. |
MMR Vaccine-Contraindications | Do not give to a pt recieving immune globulin or who have recieved blood or blood products within the last 3 months. Caution with hx of febrile convulsions or cerebral injury. D2D: Immunosuppressant drugs, Corticosteroids. Adverse: Fever, Rash, G-B |
Immune Sera-Prototype | IM Immune Globulin |
IM Immune Globulin | Provide passive immunity to specific antigen or disease. Phx against Hep A, measles, varicella, and rubella to provide a passive short term immunity. |
IM Immune Globulin-Contraindications | Use with caution in pregnancy, coagulation defects, and previous exposure to the immune sera. Adverse: rash, angioedema, chest tightness, chills, fever. |
