what does the secondary sector do? manufactures goods
capital goods... are used to help make other goods or provide services
examples of capital goods? welding equipment, delivery vans
consumer goods... go straight to the final consumer.
what are two types of consumer goods? consumables - used up when consumed consumer durables - last a long time
examples of the two types of consumer goods? consumables - pencils, food consumer durables - TVs, freezers
what does the tertiary sector do? provide services
what are some examples of services provided for businesses? distribution of goods, warehousing, advertising
what are some examples of services provided for consumers? hairdressing, restaurant meals
who uses financial services? consumers and businesses
what are some examples of financial services? banking, insurance
