Bound control | A type of control where it is connected to a field in the record source and is used to display, enter, and update data |
Control | The format in which fields appear |
Control layout | A "container" that groups together the controls in a form so that you can change them as a group |
Datasheet tool | A tool that creates a form that looks just like a datasheet |
Detail selection | The single section that appears when a layout is created. One record is displayed at a time |
Field list pane | A pane that contains the tables in the database and displays the fields they contain |
Find | A command available in a table, query, datasheet, form, or report. It is an option for finding data quickly |
Form | A database object that displays data from one or more tables or queries in a format that has a similar appearance to a paper form |
Form footer section | An option available when the detail section of a form. It displays information at the bottom of each form |
Form header section | An option available when in the detail section of a form. It displays information at the top of each form |
Form tool | A tool that creates a simple form that includes all the fields in the selected table or query, uses a simple format, and includes a title with the same name as the table or query on which it was based |
Form view | A type of view in Access. It displays records in the record source, one at a time, in the form. It includes a bottom navigation pane |
Form wizard | A tool that helps to create a form by displaying options in dialogue boxes that specify the form's record source and layout |
Layout view | A type of view in Access. In this view changes to format and appearance can be changed. Controls in form and data from the record source can be viewed simultaneously |
Multiple items tool | A tool that creates a form that lists all the forms in a datasheet format, but using a style that is similar to the form created by the form tool |
Record source | The tables or queries that provide the data to be displayed in a form |
Split form tool | A tool that creates a form using all the fields in the selected table or query and splits the window into two panes |
Theme | A form's style. It formats the form with a predefined color, font, and design scheme |
Unbound control | A control that is not connected to a record source and is used to display information, lines, rectangles, and pictures |
