Bold | A typeface displayed with thick strokes |
Italic | A style of type in which letters are slanted to the right |
Underline | To draw a line under a word or phrase for emphasis |
Justify | Text is aligned to both the left and right margins adding extra space between words as necessary |
Bulleted list | A list introduced with a symbol |
Header | Information which appears at the top of each page |
Footer | Information which appears at the bottom of each page |
Quick parts | The feature which allows you to insert fields, document properties or any preformatted snippets created |
Table | Information displayed in a grid comprising columns and rows |
Margins | The blank space around the edges of the page |
Orientation | Choose between either portrait (vertical) or landscape (horizontal) |
Ribbon | The strip of buttons across the top of the main window |
Screenshot | Insert a picture of any program that is not minimised on the Taskbar |
Word wrap | A feature that automatically moves a word that is too long to fit on a line to the beginning of the next line |
Quick Access Toolbar | A small customisable toolbar which displays a set of commands that are specified by Word or selected by the user |
