What is ISA? Intrinsic Simpathomimetic Activity - Partial agonist on beta receptors causing less bradycardia
What do the beta blockers with Alpha antagonism do? Block alpha-1 adrenergic receptors causing arteriolar vasodilation.
What does Cardioselective mean? At therapeutic doses Block only beta-1 receptors. (Cardioselective agents cause less: bronchospasm, peripheral vasoconstriction, alteration of glucose and lipid metabolism)
