What is ISA? | Intrinsic Simpathomimetic Activity - Partial agonist on beta receptors causing less bradycardia |
What do the beta blockers with Alpha antagonism do? | Block alpha-1 adrenergic receptors causing arteriolar vasodilation. |
What does Cardioselective mean? | At therapeutic doses Block only beta-1 receptors. (Cardioselective agents cause less: bronchospasm, peripheral vasoconstriction, alteration of glucose and lipid metabolism) |
