TermDefinition
Migration Movement of people to a new area or country in order to find work or better living conditions.
Transportation The action of transporting someone or something or the process of being transported.
Pull Factors The lure of another country, region, organization, or religion.
Push Factors A factor that leaves one with no choice but to leave one's current home (especially parental home), country, region, organization, or religion
Space Time Compression Space time compression refers to the set of processes that cause the relative distances between places (i.e., as measured in terms of travel time or cost) to contract, effectively making such places grow “closer.”
Immigration The action of coming to live permanently in a foreign country.
Technology The application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes, esp. in industry.
