tundra | an area of arctic region that has no trees and very few other plants |

gulf | a large area of a sea or ocean that is partially enclosed by land |
desert | a dry area of land, usually covered with sand in which few plants or animals live |
peninsula | a piece of land that sticks out into water from a larger land mass |
