The Earth's Surface Matching
Core
Outer and inner. It is at the centre of the earth. Temperatures are highest here.
Crust
The outside layer of the earth and is made up of solid rock
Plate Boundary
The place where two plates meet.
Vent
Narrow tube in the crust where the magma travels through.
Continental Drift
The continents are very slowly moving apart.
Plate Tectonics
The study of plates and how they move.
Mantle
The layer below the crust. It is made up of molten (melted) rock called magma.
Extinct
Will not erupt again.
Dormant
Hasn't erupted in a long time but still could.
Active volcano
Still erupts regularly.
