Monitor for drainage color, or obstruction in catheter bag, monitor lower abdomen for swelling or distention, monitor BP, pulse, respirations, restlessness, diaphoresis, and pallor

show Used in patients with BPH. Is an Alpha I - Adrenergic Antagonist. Used mostly for relatively smaller prostates (dynamic obstructions). Relaxes smooth muscle of the bladder neck and prostate, which improves urine flow and relieves symptoms. Side effects include dizziness, headache, asthenia/fatigue, postural hypotension, rhinitis, and sexual dysfunction
