Difference in Basal and Squamous Cell Carcinoma appearances on skin?   Basal- more translucent appearance. Squamous- deep red appearance on skin.

Adenocarcinoma   Refers to cancer of glandular tissue- broad term used to describe cancer in areas such as esophagus, endometrium, cervix, lung, pancreas, prostate, stomach, sm. intes.

Transitional cell carcinoma   cells lining passages of urinary tract. (include urethra and bladder)

Sarcomas   arise from connective tissue. Highly invasive and mets. rapidly; bulky with abundant blood supply- growth can exceed bld supply

Why are sacomas difficult to remove and treat.   Growth of sarcomas can exceed bld supply and cause ulceration and hemorrhage- common is the uterus.
