        Help!

Question
Answer
Matter   Anything that occupies space and has shape or form.
🗑
Nucleus   The center of an atom. Contains protons and neutrons.
🗑
Neutron   One of the three particles that compose an atom. These particles have no electrical charge.
🗑
Sine wave   A repeating wave form, as seen in an AC current. Also called a sinusoidal form.
🗑
Wavelength   The distance from one crest of a wave to the next.
🗑
Photon   The smallest possible unit of electromagnetic energy. A tiny "bullet" of energy.
🗑
Transformer   The device used to produce the high voltage needed for x-ray production.
🗑
Milliampere (MA)   Used to measure the x-ray tube current. Equal to 1/1000 of an ampere (0.001 A).
🗑
Resistance (R)   Any property of the circuit that opposes or hinders the flow of current.
🗑
Molecules   Two or more atoms chemically combined.
🗑
Potential Difference   The force or strength of the electrons flowing within an electric circuit.
🗑
Proton   One of three particles that compose an atom. These particles have a positive electrical charge.
🗑
Rectification   The process of changing alternating current into direct current to produce x-rays. Alternating current can be converted so that it flows in one direction only.
🗑
Volt (V)   The unit used to measure potential difference.
