inner planet any of the four closest planets to the sun
asteroid a rocky mass up to several hundred kilometers wide that revolves around the sun
space probe a spacecraft that gathers data with out a crew
satellite a natural or artificial object in space that circles around another sun
solar system the sun, planets, and their moons, and other objects that revolve around the sun
gravity the force of attraction between any two objects due to their mass
telescope an instrument that makes distant objects appear closer and larger
meteoroid a small piece of rock or metal that travels in space and orbits the sun
meteor a bright streak of light that passes through space and orbits the sun
meteorite a piece of meteroid that lands on Earth after passing through the atmosphere
star gigantic balls of very hot gases that give of radiation

constellation a group of stars that form a pattern
