scientific law | a statement that describes whats going to happen |

precision | a measure of the exactness of a measurments |
graph | picture of your data |
horizontal axis | or x axis runs left to right |
vertical axis | or y axis runs up to down |
origin | where to axis cross |
coordinate | pair of numbers to position a point on a graph |
data point | intersection of a point |
line of best fit | line that reflects general pattern on a graph |
linear graph | data points yield a straight line |
shape | steepness of the graph line |
non-linear graph | data points fall along a straight line |
Science | the study of the natural world |
observing | using one or more senses to gather info |
inferring | when you explain your observations |
predicting | making a forecast of what will happen in the future based on what you already know |
chemistry | the study the properties of matter and how matter changes |
physics | the study oh matter energy motion and forces, and how they interact |
