Solar Energy | Energy from the Sun. |
Wind Farm | A group of wind turbines that produce electricity. |
Hydroelectric Power | Electricity produced by flowing water. |
Geothermal Energy | Thermal energy of Earth's interior. |
Biomass Energy | Energy produced by burning organic matter. |
Ore | Deposits of minerals that are large enough to be mined for a profit. |
Deforestation | The cutting of large areas of forests for human activities. |
Photochemical Smog | A brownish haze produced when nitrogen compounds and other pollutants in the air react in the presence of sunlight. |
Acid Precipitation | Precipitation that has a pH less than 5.6. |
