What is the mission of Christ? To spread the Kingdom of God through witness, worship, and service
How did Jesus witness? He taught through example and his words.
How did he worship? He prayed and did the Father’s will. At the Last Supper and on the cross, he gave his life for us.
How did Jesus serve? Healed those who were sick, raised some who were dead, assisted those who were poor, welcomed sinners.

What is a vocation? The call each of us has in life to be the person God wants each to be and the way we each serve the Church and the Kingdom of God.

What are the two job descriptions for a Christian found in the Gospel of Matthew. The Beatitudes and the Corporal Works of Mercy
What is a Beatitude? Teachings of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew’s Gospel. The Beatitudes are the eight ways of living the Christian life and the way to true happiness.
What is a Corporal Work of Mercy? kind acts by which we help our neighbors with their everyday material needs that include feeding the hungry, finding a home for the homeless, clothing the naked, visiting the sick and those in prison, giving alms to the poor, and burying the dead.
How does Jesus view our actions toward others? Jesus said, “Whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.”
What is stewardship. Stewardship is the management and responsibility for the earth and its resources
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted
Blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called children of God.
Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God.
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied."

What is a witness? The passing on to others, by our words and by our actions, the faith that we have been given. Every Christian has the duty to give witness to the good news about Jesus Christ that he or she has come to know.
To what mission is every Christian called? to love and serve God's people, to spread the Kingdom of God, and to build up the Body of Christ.
