Article IV-Official acts | insures each state recognize laws, court decisions and records of all other states |
Article IV-Mutual duties in all states | privledges- equal treatment of citizens in all states, extradition- person must return to state where crime was committed..they cannot flee., New states- congress can admit new states and set guidelines for the process of becoming a state. |
Article IV- Federal Protection for States | -allows federal gov't to send troops into a state to guarantee law and order, president can do it without consent of state. |
Article V- The Amending Process | -26 amendments to the constitution, to ratift: 2/3 vote in Congress and 3/4 of States must accept(38 states), none have been proposed by a national convention called by the states |

Amendment 2 | -right to bear arms, right for a state to have a militia |
Amendment 3 | -no quartering troops, people have a right privacy in their homes |
Amendment 4 | searches and seizures, police/gov't must have "reasonable cause" to conduct search and seizure, evidence seized with out a warrant cannot be used in court. |
Amendment 5 | -rights of accused persons, inditment by jury-tell you why you are arrested, person cannot be tried more than once for the same crime (double jepordy), due process of law judges fairly as anyone else..same punishments get the same sentence.. |
Amendment 6 | right to speedy, fair trial; accused cannot be held in jail for a long period of time without a trial; jury must hear from both sides before deciding; gov't must provide a legal defender for accused; impartial jury. |
Amendment 7 | civil suits; "common law" established by various court decisions; sued for over 20 dollars-jury is provided. |
Amendment 8 | bail and punishment; neither bail or punishment will be unreasonably severe |
Amendment 9 | powers reserved to the people; people's rights are not liited to those in the constitution |
Amendment 10 | powers reserved the states; protects from all powerful federal government |
