Abdominal Respiration | Breathing in which the patient is using mostly the abdominal muscles. |
Aneroid Sphygmomanometer | Dial- type blood pressure equipment. |
Apical Pulse | A measurement of the heartbeats at the apex of the heart, located just under the left breast. |
Apnea | Periods of not breathing. |
Axillary | The area under the arms; the armpits. |
Blood Pressure | The force of the blood exerted on the inner walls of the arteries, veins, and chambers of the heart as blood flows or ciculates through the structures. |
Centigrade | A system for measurement of temperature using a scale divided into 100 units or degrees; in this system, the freezing temperature of water os 0°C and water boils at 100°C; often referred as Celsius. |
