Math class practice.

QuestionAnswer
Finding X and Y intercepts. To find the x-intercept, substitute 0 in for Y. To find the y-intercept, substitute 0 in for X.
Slope-Intercept formula. Y=MX+B
Slope of a line passing through two points. M=(Y2-Y1)/(X2-X1)
Point-Slope form of an Equation of a line. Passes through points (X1,Y1) Y-Y1=M(X-X1)
How do you find the 0's of 3x^2+x-10? Set the equation equal to 0. 3x^2+x-10=0 Factor afterwards. (3x-5)(x+2)=0 Set those equal to 0. 3x+5=0 > x=5/3 x+2=0 x=-2
When is a function increasing, decreasing, or constant? Constant when :fx1=fx2 Decreasing when: fx1>fx2 Increasing when: fx1<fx2
When is a function even or odd? Odd when you substitute -x for all x's in the equation and get a negative. Vice versa.
