Term | Definition |
---|---|
Eucharist | Communion - receiving the Body and Blood of Christ |
Reconciliation | Confession - we have actual sins forgiven that we have committed since Baptism. |
Baptism | We are cleansed of Original Sin, become members of the Body of Christ, and receive a mark on our soul to allow us to go to Heaven. |
Anointing of the Sick | We are blessed with the oil of Chrism to heal the body and soul. |
Confirmation | We receive the Holy Spirit, completing our entry into the Catholic Church, and helping us to be strong Christians, and not sin. |
Holy Orders | Men become priests, and are now able to change the water and wine into the Body and Blood of Jesus. |
Matrimony | Marriage - A man and woman pledge themselves before God to be faithful to each other, be good parents, and love each other. |
