CPU (central processing Unit) processor processes data and controls the flow of data bewteen the computer's other units
ALU (Arithmetic Logic Unit) Which can perform arithmetic and logic operations

Application software written by programmers to perform a specific task, such as a word processor

ROM (Read Only Memory) contains the most basic operatin instructions for a computer

SRAM (Static Random Access Memory) is high-speed memory referred to as cache (pronounced "cash")
