Over-Fishing

What is Over-Fishing When too many of one type of fish are caught in an area leading to a large drop in the number of that type of fish.
Why does it happen? 1.Bigger Ships - Bigger nets and more room to store fish 2.Refrigerators on ships to keep fish fresh 3.New Technology - Sonar, Radar 4.Some fish swim in groups making them easy to catch.
Steps to stop it 1.Reduce size of fishing fleets 2.Quotas(limits) on the number of fish that can be caught in certain areas. 3.Banning non-EU boats from EU waters.
