Quakers The Religious Society of Friends, A Christian Movement started by George Fox in 1650.
Navigation Acts A group of Acts passed in England by some men who wanted to be rich and made all of the ships pass through England and pay a tax before trading with the Colonies. All ships also had to be built in England or the Colonies.
French and Indian War A war fought in America. The English fought the French and the Indians with the help of some Americans.
Seven Years War A war that lasted seven years in Europe between the French and the English.
Articles of Confederation Served as the USA's first constitution and was ratified in 1781.
The Constitution The USA Constitution is the Supreme law of the United States of America.
Mercy Otis Warren A Playwright that wrote plays for the American Cause.
Ethan Allen A Brave man who led the Green mountain boys in capturing the cannons.
Green Mountain Boys The Vermont boys. A militia of fighting Men.
John Knox A Scottish clergyman and leader of the protestant reformation.
Benedict Arnold At first a good general, then a rotten traitor!
Federalism Federalism is a political concept in which a group of members are bound together by covenant.
Checks and Balances Is a model for the governance of a state.
Shays Rebellion A rebellion against taxes in the USA. Led by a farmer named Shays.
Electoral College An electoral college is a set of electors who are selected to elect a candidate to a particular office.
Northwest Ordinance Was an act of Congress to make the first organized territory in the United States.
Thomas Jefferson Writer of the Declaration of Independence and Third President of the United States.
Benjamin Franklin Great inventor and Printer. Also an accomplished author. Signer of the Declaration of Independence. And Delegate for Pennsylvania.
James Madison Fourth President of the United States
House of Representatives A house of representatives done by population of state.
John Adams Second President of the United States
Senate The United States Senate is a legislative chamber in the bicameral legislature of the United States of America.
Jamestown The first permanent English settlement in the new World.
Hessians Troops from Germany paid to help England in the War Against America. a
Stamp Act A tax that put a stamp on every printed thing in the Colonies of America.
Sugar Act A tax that taxed things like sugar, coffee and others.
Battles of the Revolution Trenton, Princeton, Saratoga, Lexington, Concord, Quebec, Yorktown, Bunker Hill, Dorchester Heights, Ticonderoga, Germantown. Not necessarily in that order and many others.
